Recognition for our Triangle Heroes

Considering the chill breeze, a sizable crowd gathered in Woodbine Park on the late afternoon of October 1st to witness the investiture of Patricia Silver as Beach Citizen of the Year. She has lived in the Beach area for 34 years, and when she moved to the Triangle region 25 years ago helped found the Beach Triangle Residents Association and was its second President.
On October 2nd many family and friends gathered at the home of Layton and June Stewart on Lockwood Road in honour of Layton’s 90th Birthday. Layton was also a Founding Member and former President of the BTRA, and continues as a director of the organization to this day.
At the Ontario Co-operative Association Gala at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington, John Ellis received a Co-operative Spirit Award for a Lifetime of Co-operative Service. John is a long-time director of the BTRA and former President.
